VMware vExpert 2022 Announced

The first round of application for vExpert 2022 has been announced . Congrats to all existing vExpert 2022.  For those who were vExpert 2021, you will notice, there is an one off extension to be granted vExpert 2022. I believe this is due to the COVID situation where contribution has been reduced. Do keep your community contribution going this year so as to renew for next year. VMworld 2021 Day 1 in a Summary

A great day 1 for VMworld 2021. If you have not manage to listen and attend to all the sessions, there were several project been announced. Here are a summary for those who missed it. A quick summary of some of the topics can be found here . Project Cascade (Tech Preview) A unified kubernetes interface across VMware Cloud for IaaS (infra) and CaaS (container). This in turn provide open CLI, API and GUI. This address the problem that developers have to learn a different interface for every cloud running kubenetes. With Project Cascade, developer only need to know one and run in any Cloud. With initial milestone for VM service on VMware Cloud. The good thing is this is build on open foundation. VMworld 2019 Barcelona Summary

Here is a summary that was announced during VMware VMworld 2019 Barcelona. As usual, the remind which was announced in VMworld 2019 US on VMware Tanzu hit the stage once again in Barcelona. Here are the summary of what was announced: VMware Workspace One delivers Day Zero Employee experience [ news ] Workspace one for Microsoft Endpoint Manager to manage the wide deployment of Windows 10 devices. [ news ] [ article ] Project Maestro, VMware Telco Cloud Orchestrator across 4G and 5G [ article ] [ news ] VMware new Security Solutions brings intrinsic security to the modern distributed enterprise [ news ] [ NSX Distributed IPS/IDS ] At the same time, vRealize Network Insight 5.1 was released with support for assessment for VMC on AWS and NSX SD-WAN. It also includes Application Day 2 operations performance by observing the degrading in traffic. Check out more details here .

vExpert 2019 Second Half Results Announced

Congrats to the new vExpert 2019 second half applicants. The result has been announced here . A total of 119 new vExpert 2019. Congrats once again to those who have been accredited vExpert. Keep your community contribution going. For those who didn't make it, don't be despair. Start building that contribution and be ready for the application next year for vExpert 2020.

vExpert Pro What is it?

Something new just starts out from VMware Palo Alto. There is a new twitter handler, VMware vExpert Pro . It just posted something a few hours ago. We know what is a vExpert program. If you do not do check out here . The vExpert came a long way from a general vExpert to now another three more tracks namely: vSAN, NSX, Cloud and now Pro. So what is really vExpert Pro? This is someone volunteered in the individual country as a vExpert recruiter. So how is the person been selected? A short requirement is as below: A current vExpert who excels in their local region, adding value to the program and giving back to the community. This person has a strong relationship with the local IT community in general, and works as an advocate to the vExpert program, recruiting, mentoring and training people.
