 If you have not been following, VMware has quietly release update 1 for both vSphere and vSAN close to 3 months after the major release of version 8 for both. Similar like how Host Profile works, but this is at cluster level. You will need to remove Host Profile from existing host in order to use Configuration Profile. vSphere Lifecycle Manager no longer just support cluster level. Now it can also be used for single standalone host as long it is managed by vCenter Server. Mixed GPU profile support in a single cluster. A great day 1 for VMworld 2021. If you have not manage to listen and attend to all the sessions, there were several project been announced. Here are a summary for those who missed it. A quick summary of some of the topics can be found here . Project Cascade (Tech Preview) A unified kubernetes interface across VMware Cloud for IaaS (infra) and CaaS (container). This in turn provide open CLI, API and GUI. This address the problem that developers have to learn a different interface for every cloud running kubenetes. With Project Cascade, developer only need to know one and run in any Cloud. With initial milestone for VM service on VMware Cloud. The good thing is this is build on open foundation. The start of February also mark the great launch today by VMware.  Another milestone achieve with more to look forward to which will change the way things will run in an infrastructure. Today has been the long awaiting launch of vSphere 6.0 (which many thought was during vSphere 5.5 but finally it made it), there are also some changes to some add-on products changes as well as bundle update. The General Availability (GA) for vSphere will be in Mar 2015.  The training courses are found here .
