ASEAN VCAP & VCDX Bootcamp

Once again just like the past year, the VMware Education team has managed to organize a one day bootcamp for those who are planning or wanted to find out more on becoming a VCAP and VCDX.  This is a similar bootcamp that has been held several times in US and its really rare opportunity that this is conducted in ASEAN. While this is a great move, this will be more applicable for those who are already a VCP.  As the number of vacancy is limited, I would encourage anyone who are a VCP and keen to pursue a VCAP or those who have VCAP and intend to give VCDX a shot to register now! Here is the registration link .  Please be responsible and only register if you are able to attend as this is a rare opportunity and we will be having our VCDX#001, John Arrasjid to host this bootcamp. Below is the respective countries in ASEAN where the bootcamp will be held: 11th Mar 2014  Malaysia (in collaboration with MDeC) Information 13rd Mar 2014  Singapore Information...

VMware Certifications Promotion 2013

Image
After the big event, VMworld 2013 at San Francisco and the coming Bacelona, there will be various events to carry on the information that was announced at the APAC regional vForum or VMware Solutions Symposium at individual APAC countries. Other than the announcements and launches of new version and products, there is also promotion for certifications announced here . I am going to take Singapore for example here where vForum 2013 will be held on 24th Oct where information of all the events are shown here . For Singapore, you will be able to take the certification exams like the new associates exams with 50% off the price and as well as VCP and VCAP exams at 75% off the price as shown here .  One thing as a reminder, if you are taking exams that need authorization, you will still need to go through this process which I posted here . The information on this page is rather confusing so here I am going to make a summary for easy understanding. Exams can be taken from 11th N...

Google Music Manager outside US

I am just happen to be one of those who just a die hard fan of Google and like to use this new tool.  Since I am outside US I am pretty out of luck. Well many have shared to use proxy VPN to hide your location to US.  I did lots of search, tried lots of VPN clients and eventually the only one that works for me was Security Kiss . Its very easy to use and just try out some of the available servers.  Just have to make sure its either US or UK and test it out with some website.  If it works, the server is working.  You might just need to play around to make sure. Before you head to the Google Play Store to do your activation for the Google Music Manager, you would need to do something first which none of the site mention.  You need a US address.  Yes so you can use any of the delivery hub e.g. ComsGateway, Borderlinx, etc. Next use the US address and add your billing address for Google Play Store in Google Wallet .  You can use your own Cred...

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Review

Image
Happen to be invited for a private Facebook fan event where 6 of us were invited.  It was a privilege so will just head to the review.  You can read about the technical specification here which I would go in details.  There is a review on the build which I never get to test it which you can view here .  So far I still like my ASUS Transformer TF101.  The build was solid and the price then was also good. The brochure I receive on arrival. The familiar Samsung brochure from all the Galaxy series. The tablet on the table.  This is the white set that was presented to us on the day.  Just like the Galaxy Tab 10.1, it look just the same of the cause with just one different the S Pen which uses special touch technology from Wacom to be more precise than styluses for the iPad or iPhone.  This also add cost to the tablet which typically one Wacom writing pad would cost  you a price. The display is a bit reflective and if you asked ye...
