The annual vExpert program for 2021 will open its application once again. Application open: 21st Nov (US)  Closing date:  8th January 2021 Results will be announced on: 11th February 2021 (US). For those who have have gotten their vExpert accreditation  on the 2nd round application in 2021, will need to apply again. As mentioned, vExpert program is an annual accreditation and will require yearly application this is to ensure, every individual are awarded for your personal contribution to the VMware communities. Once again congratulation to all new and renewed vExpert 2016.  This year we have 1360 awarded with this accreditation.  This is an increased from the first half awarded in 2015 of 754 posted last year.  Almost twice of growth. This year if you have applied and did not see your name been awarded, you can actually write in as stated to vexpert@vmware.com to seek another round of clarity.  Perhaps it could have missed out.  I have been asked by some, this goes down to what did you justify yourself to be awarded this accreditation?  Application does not equal to award if you have not show any evidences of contribution e.g. active reply to discussion group, etc. For those who are new to this award, this grants you discount to events like VMworld as well as meetup during VMworld if you are going.  There are definitely some benefits. The results of the vExpert 2013 accreditation is released!  A list of the people are listed here .  I am glad to be part of this accreditation again for the 2nd time. For those who have achieved vExpert 2013, Tintri is offering a free T-shirt to congrats all of you here . (This has ended.) I have shared my first experience in my previous post , those who are motivated to be one do start doing some contribution to the community.  You can be a technology evangelist or even a blogger or just a forum participants who contribute back to the communities. Sharing is caring and we live by these communities to have our life in any roles in the virtualization space and be awarded with this accreditation. You can also get yourself accredited if you do contribute back to the communities related to virtualization and cloud computing.
