Something got a release note today known as vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 1.0.  What is this software about? VMware has a bundle known as vCloud Suite.  Just a breakdown what is in vCloud Suite/ vCloud Suite is a comprises of two things: vRealize Suite + vSphere Enterprise Plus. vRealize Suite (depending on Editions) will consist of some or all of the below: vRealize Automation vRealize Business vRealize Operations Manager vRealize Log Insight vSphere (depending on edition) will consist of some or all of the below: vCenter Standard (purchase separately) ESXi vSphere Replication vSphere Data Protection (last major edition) vSphere Big Data Extension Looking at the above, you start to see that installing and managing the upgrade will be a big tedious process.  Lots of planning and double and triple check the compatibility matrix. If you head to VMware Certification site, you will be able now to book the following VCAP6 exams at USD400 each and USD100 for the beta exam: Data Center Virtualization VCAP6-DCV Design  (GA) VCAP6-DCV Deploy Network Virtualization VCAP6-NV Design (pending release) VCAP6-NV Deploy Cloud Management and Automation VCAP6-CMA Design  (GA) VCAP6-CMA Deploy Desktop and Mobility VCAP6-DTM Design VCAP6-DTM Deploy Apparently only VCAP6- NV Design is not yet release.   During this period, passing VCAP6-NV Deploy will give you direct access to be VCIX6 waving the two VCAPs requirement.  So if you are keen, do be fast.   This is also stated here . As for the rest of the track, well you will need both VCAPs in Design and Deploy to be VCIX unless you are upgrading our certification from VCAP5.  Read more about it in my previous post . Following the announcement on 2nd Feb 2015 on the new vSphere 6 which is part of vSphere with Operations Management and vCloud Suite 6, today is the general availability (GA) for the binary. These includes but not limited to vSphere 6 (vCenter Server 6, ESXi 6), vRealize Orchestrator (vRO) 6, VMware Data Protection (VDP) 6, vSphere Replication (vR) 6, Virtual SAN (VSAN) 6, Site Recovery Manager (SRM) 6, vRealize Automation (vRA) 6.2.1, vRealize Business (vRB) 6.1.0 and also not new in today release vRealize Operations (vROps) 6.0.1. Head over to the vCloud Suite download site to get those bits. Also do check out the product documentation site on the changes from release notes. In conjuction, the release of Horizon 6.1 also announced and made available.  In this release, Horizon 6 Enterprise now includes App Volumes.
